Inhibit

There is a fear in my core, and it

Burrows, cuts, and holds

my heart in its cold, clawed grip
But I know I am Yours.

Though my confidence falls

sick, the shaking-fear stalls

It strays and diminishes

And my weakness submits

Question

Please don’t say those words, don’t ask me
what I can’t answer.
My heart is pulling itself apart
Don’t make me lie, I can’t look in those eyes
I CAN’T I SHOULDN’T I WON’T
“You either feel it or you don’t.”
